80 stolen baby elephants are dead by now
The environmental organizations say that during the last 7 years there have 150 baby elephants been caught from the forests in illegal way.The convener of bio protection center Pubudu Weeraratne says that about 80 baby elephants have died without proper treatment.
He says that there are politicians behind these and due to that reason the relevant departments are not taking actions to bring them in front of the law.
